5 months!!!

I can't believe she's alreadty 5 months today. Time is flying by and she's growing so fast. She's just loving observing and taking it all in. She loves to feel new things and discover the world around her. It's so fun to watch. So funniest thing, My sister and her boys came down for the week. When they got here I went to pick up her 10 month old boy and Reece threw a fit. The tantrums are begining, Fun for us :)

Here are some pics of her poor breathing treatments. She's getting better at them. We figured out that the best time to give them are when she's asleep. They must be working though, either that or the antibiotics are because she's feeling so much better!

Pneumonia:(

So she kept coughing so hard that anything we tried to feed her came right back up. When i got to work yesterday morning i went and asked her doctor what we could do to help. He said he needed to see her again because she's had this going on so long and she's not getting better. He listened to her lungs. The tops were still clear which is good but her bases weren't; pneumonia. And he thinks she may have a little sinus infection too, poor baby:( So continuing breathing treatments and started on antibiotics. So we're praying she'll start improving soon.
Still all smiles :) And she's just loving her feet lately. It's hard to keep her off her back

Sick Baby :(

Sweet little Reece has been sick for over 2 weeks. We thought she was just teething but then she started with a bad cough :( I talked to her doctor while I was at work last friday and he told me to bring her in, so even though I didn't want to be the over-protective mother, I brought her in. She weighted 15 1/2 pounds, not struggling with gaining weight :) But he said her lungs had some junk in them but that fact that she's coughing is a good thing. He said to watch her over the weekend and let him know how she's doing Monday. So on Monday i called and gave him the update. She was coughing a lot harder now and was running a low grade fever, so he started her on breathing treatments. The poor little thing doesn't like them too much! It just breaks my heart to have to hold the mask to her face while she's screaming and tears are running down her cheeks :( It's so hard having a sick kid. But she is seeming to be doing a little better now. Still hates her treatments but they seem to be helping. She's so sweet though. Even though she feels terrible; watery eyes, runny nose, cough, fever, she still manages to smile and be a happy baby! She's so dang cute. She's figured out that she likes to roll over and just loves to move across our whole family room. We've had to move our furniture around so there's room for her to roam. The other night I laid her on her blanket and ran to grab something in her bedroom and when I came back she was half way under the table, on her belly with her arm around the leg talking to it. She just loves it. She'll purch herself up on her elbows and just talk, but then she starts to cough and usually ends up puking but then she's back at it. Here are some action shots :)

Nick's buddy King came to visit Reece. He hadn't seen her yet and was so excited:) He wanted a picture with his 'family'.

All tuckered out :) She's just loves having her arm or a blanket over her forehead and eyes. Cutest thing :)
Such a happy girl :)

4 MONTHS

Love this, such a happy little girl!

Saturday Reece will be 4 months old. I can't believe how fast the time is going and how quickly she's growing up into a beautiful little girl. Last Wednesday she had her doctor's appointment. She's doing so well, She's growing wonderfully!! She weighed in at 14.7 pounds (75%) and measured 25 inches long (75%). Nice and above average! Her head only measured in the 55% which is very unseamonslike but we're happy :)v She got the official go-ahead on solids. The doctor said she shouldn't have any problems with it considering she's growing so well :) We tried it again last night and she did great! He said by her 6 month appt she should be eating two meals a day consisting of a fruit or veggie and cereal. I don't think she'll have a problem with that:) She's growing like crazy! She rolled over for Nick yesterday. So glad he was able to see it. But then once again she got stuck on her belly and didn't know quite what to do, so we had to help her with her way back over.

just loves her walker

Out with dad

Already loving the TV :)

Firsts

She rolled over yesterday morning!!! I couldn't believe it. I was so proud of her:) I just dropped her off at my mom's before I went to work. She as being laid down onto her back and as soon as she hit the floor she rolled over to her tummy. She then laid there not knowing what to do, flapping her arms and legs. She hates being on her tummy so she started fussing and I helped her roll back to her back. Nick was at work so he wasn't able to see it but I'm so greatful that I did :) That's been my biggest fear being back at work, that I'd miss big, key milestones but it worked out great!! Then last night she slept from 830 until 7. At 10 a gave her a top off before I moved her into her crib but it was wonderful:) I couldn't believe it! I had to go check on her because I was in shock that she was still quiet. When I went in I noticed she was sucking on those cute fists. So I guess they do come in handy to keep her quiet longer :)

She started holding her bottle. It's soo cute. She's been into grabbing lately but I just think it's the sweetest thing to watch her wrap her little fingers around her bottle. Tried to get a shot but was a little late but you get the idea :)

Labor Day Weekend Fun

The weekend started off with a baby shower for Nick's sister Jamie. She's due the first part of October and they're naming he Kendall. Reece will enjoy a little cousin so close in age
Daxton (Nick's cousin's boy) who is in daycare with Reece, is quite the fan of her. It was so cute. He just kept rubbing her belly, staring, and talking to her. I'm glad she already is making friends :) Pam says the other kids just love her. She's the new toy, but Pam has this wonderful rule where they're only aloud to play with her feet. The hands are off limits because she eats them. Thanks Pam :)
Thought this was a classic

After the shower we went to visit Grandpa Lindley. Reece just started eating her fists a week or so ago. Not quite sure how I feel about it yet but she sure enjoys them. Now that she's somewhat figuring out how to grab things, she'll grab ahold of the binki, fling it out and insert her fists, what a joy. There are times when I'm searching for quite sometime to figure out where it launched to, good thing it's bright pink :)

She sure loves her Great Grandpa

We were also able to go to the Bees Baseball game! Nick's family was nice enough to invite us. It was fun although a tad on the HOT side. Reece did surprisingly well considering she's a personal heater to start with. Once we got her out of the sun and had the wind blowing threw her hair she was enjoying life :)
This was our attempt to keep her cool before the idea of moving to the shade game to mind. The personal umbrella and hat just didn't cut it. We even tried the mini battery powered fans, but that only lasted so long :)
Yes, that is the umbrella from Grandpa and Grandma's white elephant

Monday Nick, James, Morgan's Dad, Phil went golfing. Morgan, Reece and I rode along in the carts. It was such a nice day, not too hot and not too cold. Reece is such a good kid. She didn't fuss much at all. She loves being outside.
Hard to see but that's Nick and James walking and Morgan following behind
She was so excited! She just loves the wind in her hair
Nick putting while Phil and James watch in suspense
She was all tuckered out after

Growing Like Crazy

I can't believe how fast our little baby is growing up. She so fun! Earlier this week I tried some rice cereal in her bottle to see if it would suffice her more so she could sleep through more of the night. Didn't notice a difference, sadly :( So a few days ago I thought we'd just go ahead and see how she does with it straight. As you can see from the pictures she wasn't the biggest fan but we've tried it for three days now and I think she's starting to get the hang of it.
She's excited to try it out :)

It was so funny, she'd take a bite and pull this bitter face but then start talking and smiling

Not quite loving the taste of it
She sure enjoys her walker :)
I just love this one! Little Nick :)
