16 months and big news

Our little peanut is growing like a weed. She'll push her chair over to the bathroom sink while I"m getting ready and look at herself in the mirror. She'll pretend she's getting ready to:) She's talking so much now, and we're actually understanding some of it. The other day Nick was giving her a bath and she looks at him and says, 'I get out'. He clarified asking if she was all done and wanted to get out and she replied, "ya". I love it :) We usually can understand at least one word out of her statements. It's so much fun to talk with her and have a conversation-or at least try. She's showing some signs that she may be interested in potty training soon. She'll sometimes wake from naps dry, probably because she doesn't really drink much in the day :( But the major one she did last week. She came up to me and handed me a diaper and said, "I poop". I looked in her diaper and it was clean. She then looked at me and started walking (The follow me sign) and she led me to the bathroom. I asked her if she wanted to go potty in the toilet and she said ya so I took off her diaper and put her up on the toilet. I wasn't prepared at all for this, no little toilet seat on hand, so the minute I put her on the large toilet seat she screamed-probably because she was about to fall in:( I then lifted her off the toilet, pulled up her diaper, and she ran underneath the table and pooped. Haven't seen anything like that this week yet but I'll go get a kids toilet seat so I'm prepared the next time this happens :)
Nick has this remote control car that my brother Mike got him involved in along with a few of my other brothers. They enjoyed them for a while and then decided to sell them because they aren't the cheapest toys out there. But sadly Reece just LOVES it so we may have to keep it. She has a little fit when they crash into things, especially each other (such a tender heart) but when they roll over it's so cute, she'll say, "I push" and run over to it and push it back over so it can go again. Her and daddy crossing the street to go push the car over.

When she's in the mood she'll give kisses. I was able to get a shot of her giving the camera one. Her little rosebud lips puckered up are adorable :)

She loves to play outside, especially if she can drive something :)
She still enjoys her horse, especially since we finally got her some cowboy boots. Here's the story, Every day she went to daycare, her little buddy, Daxton has these cowboy boots that she always wanted to wear. Over time you can see how this would cause an issue so I was able to get a pair off ebay and she just loves them. She just loves her "boots". She says it so cute. Not quite sure if it's the fact that they're boots or just shoes in general :)

Went to visit Grandma Reed. For some reason when he stops by day care to visit she usually doesn't like to go near him. She just enjoys him for afar but this particular day was different so we had to get some proof :)

Last week we went to visit Grandma Roskelley. I called ahead to make sure we weren't interrupting anything and when we showed up with was the sweetest thing ever. Grandma had a whole tea party set up for Reece. She had water in the pot, some decrusted triangle pieces of bread with butter and sugar (oh the memories) and some grapes. She had it setting on a little table with little chairs pulled up to it and pooh bear sitting in a seat. She loved it! Thanks so much grandma. After the tea party Reece decided that Grandma's flowers needed watering. Grandma would pour the water from the pot into Reece's cup and she'd then pour them onto the flowers. So funny.

Now for the big news....Nick received a promotion:) He's now an assistant manager!!! He'll be working in the Neighborhood Market in Ogden. Not sure on the details on whether he'll be on days or nights yet but they are 12 hour shifts. If it's days he'll work 3 days on and 3 days off and if it's nights then 4 nights on and 4 nights off. So he'll commute some but I'm so proud of him and all his hard work!! Love you sweetie and congrats!!!!

Labor Day Weekend +

Labor Day weekend was great. Brightyn was blessed on Sunday and after had a hot dog roast at Lundstrum Park. Reece sure enjoyed the swings :) Since a large junk of the family was up for the blessing, Monday we headed to Bear Lake for some beach fun. The weather was a tad on the chili side but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. We had to bail early because Nick had to work that night but Reece still enjoyed the sand-playing and eating :)

Thought I'd throw in this shot in case you've forgotten Reece's infatuation with shoes :)

Ironically Morgan and I managed to purchase the same outfits for our little ones, so we thought that deserved a photo shoot--attempt. Reece enjoyed poking out Brightyn's eye (she's into them lately too-watch out) Not professional at all but thought at least blog worthy :)

Caught an action shot of Reece going in for the kill :)
This may the be bestLynn with Brightyn and Reece being a herd of zebras ;)

Added bonus... I was randomly looking and KSL for wonderful finds in Logan and came across this rocking horse. I then saw that the lady was also selling the wooden rocking chair. I called her up and went to get them and she gave them both to me for $20. I know-quite the steal. Reece absolutely loves them both. They're both a little big for her but she's not afraid of anything and just climbs on up. (Don't mind the hair-it was the end of the day and she managed to rip out her pig tails...again )

15 months

I'm still in shock that our little peanut is already 15 months old. Time seriously is flying but I'm loving every minute. She makes us laugh on a daily basis. She thinks she's the funniest thing ever :) She of coarse has her moments, like all toddlers do. She's learned to throw tantrums already. I'm voting from daycare :) She'll just sort of melt to the floor and scream, pretty funny to watch although I try not to encourage it. She loves trying clothes. It takes me hours to fold laundry because she just has to try everything on. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it but the other day I got her dressed and then made an attempt at laundry. She pulled out her pajamas and had to have them on over her clothes. She then attempted to put on my socks. After that she had to have dad's socks on her hands then then was walking around trying to put his underwear on her head. She was styling. The main problem is that she tries to do it all herself and then gets so frustrated because she can't quite do it alone yet. So sad. Soon though, She's just about got the pants down but the top still throws her for a loop :)

Tempting Oli with her food :)

She's into climbing up just about everything she can :) and she's so chatty. She'll go on and on in her own conversation of jibberish. So funny. She loves carrying around our cell phones and talking away on them. We're in trouble. Earlier this week we went and grabbed a snow cone (Surprise I know :)) We sat on the curb and ate them while she had my phone walking around us talking on it! Funny girl! Nick said he was taking her to day care yesterday and she grabbed his ipod and talked the whole way there on.

summer fun

This bobble-head bee was given to Reece by this cute little boy. His dad came up to us and asked if she would like it because his son wanted to give his to her. So sweet. She managed to keep the head on for a whole 5 minutes before she pulled it off :)

Reece and Grandma Fisher enjoying the game. Grandma and Uncle Cody took Reece on a train ride during the game. She loved it!! Thanks

Sporting Dad's hat with some oreo shake mixed in, Quite a sight :)

Bear Lake Family Fun

Mom and Lynn rented an awesome cabin for 4 days up in Bear Lake for some family fun. It was nice being all together and a much needed break from life.Few boys getting ready for some crazy tubing! This was the hobby of choice:) Lynn bought an awesome 4 man tube and the boys went crazy on it. A few crashes but no hospital trips so all went well:)

Nick was able to get some wakeboarding in
Reece liked riding in the boat with the wind blowing in her hair
Mom, Lynn and the grandkids :)
Enjoying a boat ride
For those of you who aren't aware yet, Reece has quite the infatuation with shoes. She managed to find a shoes pile and was in heaven. She carried them all around and even wore a select few:)

We enjoyed some beach volleyball! The sand was surprisingly hot and rough, gravel-like so the second day we decided to bring some socks to play in. Danny was playing pretty rough I suppose because he managed to tear through the toes of both his! All worth it I"m sure:)

She enjoyed the gold fish :)
Mom and Lynn getting ready to go out for a ride
Reece loved playing in the sand! Only ate a few castles worth

Before we left for the Lake, a few of us decided we'd try and hit up the North Logan Parade. Rach and the boys and I were going to meet up with John's family at my boss's house. It would have been wonderful because the parade went right in front of her lawn but my wonderful sense of direction was thrown off by the road closures and detours and we ended up a street or two off. So since Rach was heavy with child and carrying Bridger and I had Reece we decided to park it on the corner of where we were. Sorry to those we let down.
Jax Man sure loved grabbing the candy
Enjoying the candy that came to them
I didn't take the best picture to show it, but they were sitting on their candy buckets
We became a little thirsty walking to the parade so we had to replenish :)

Jaxon is such a big help! Thanks again:)
After the Lake we went to Willow Park to have lunch, swing and feed to ducks. Bridger and Reece swinging away :)
Jaxon wanted to hold Reece's leash. He kept saying, "go puppy". Pretty funny :)The monkeys were a hit, I think mainly because they were in the shade
Feeding the ducks. Bridger and Reece would take their handful and dump it all and then run over to the dispenser and say "more, more"
